Gulf State Park Trails

Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail-Sportsplex Trailhead

City:  Orange Beach
Description: The Backcountry Trail is an ADA-compliant multi-use network of trails intended to provide access to the unique and diverse natural habitats of the Alabama Gulf coast regions and to also provide bona-fide transportation alternatives throughout Orange Beach and Gulf State Park. The trail is approximately 9 miles in length.

Loxley Municipal Park Walking Trail

City:  Loxley
Description: The trail is designed to accommodate walking, jogging, bicycle riding, roller blades and skates. The trail is paved, striped and includes two foot bridges complete with handrails. The trail connects to three covered picnic areas, one with adjoining playground, a ball field complex and the civic center which provides handicap parking.

Waterfront Park Trail

Description: 1/2 mile concrete walking path around Kid's Park with extensive playground.

Description: 1.75 concrete and asphalt bike and walking trail running through the city.

Pioneer Park Walking Trail

City:  Summerdale
Description: Summerdale's walking trail starts at Pioneer Park, which is brick. There is a sitting area around the Towns' clock. The sidewalk then goes in front of the Old Tobacco Warehouse that was built in the early 1900's (will be the location of the future Town Hall), then crosses Hamm St. where the sidewalk turns to all concrete.

South Beach Park Trail

City:  Fairhope
Description: 1/4 mile concrete trail with 6 bench seats located throughout the wooded park area just south of the municipal pier.

Description: 1.7 mile concrete walking path from Holiday Park through neighborhoods and ending across from Baldwin County High School.

Alabama Scenic River Trail

City:  Cedar Bluff to Ft. Morgan
Description: Alabama's great new river trail is the longest water trail in any single state of the country, beginning at the Georgia state line and winding its way across nine beautiful lakes. Scenery ranges from magnificent wildlife preserves and steep stone cliffs to the tranquil beauty of the secluded creeks of the Delta region, the second largest delta in the US.
