Richard L. Platt Memorial Levee Trail |
County:TuscaloosaCity:NorthportDescription:2.5 mile, 8-12 foot wide asphalt trail that accommodates pedestrians and bicycles. There are benches along the trail at approximately every 330 feet. Trailheads are at Rice Mine Road, the end of Bridge Avenue and the entrance to the Corps of Engineers riverfront recreation site at Oliver Lock Dam. |

Directions to Trail:From: I-20/59 take the I-359 exit north. After crossing the Black Warrior River take the Downtown Northport exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp turn right onto 5th Street. At the traffic signal turn right onto Bridge Avenue. The Richard L. Platt Memorial Levee Trail is located at the end of Bridge Avenue near Steamers Restaurant. |
